Through the curation of sustainable handicrafts and objects designed, developed and/or manufactured in Bangladesh, and items collected along brief and prolonged travels about the world, Nahar tells a story of the expanse of the immigrant identity. 

In Bengali, "Desh" means Home. Items have been thoughtfully made and selected to represent the warm and vibrant culture of their home - Bangladesh.

"Bidesh" means Abroad, where chosen objects signify defining junctures of an immigrant's movements on foreign land.

In loving memory of my grandmother, Nahar, who gave light to every day.
